About ZEN Pilates
A lifetime of movement. A studio built for the individual.
Tatiana founded ZEN Pilates as a welcoming space built on collaboration, connection, and shared growth. She focuses on a client-centered approach to Pilates, and every session is tailored to your body, goals, and experience level. Her goal is to make the transformative practice of Pilates accessible to others while fostering a supportive community where everyone can move, learn, and thrive together.

Meet Dr. Tatiana C. Grant
Originally from Miami, Florida and now at home in Pensacola, she has spent a lifetime in motion—from ballet, dance, and cheerleading to teaching aerobics, playing tennis, distance running, and yoga. Alongside that lifelong connection to movement, she built a career in clinical psychology.
ZEN Pilates is where the two come together. The studio reflects the patience, observation, and disciplined instruction that shape how she teaches.
Meet her mentor, Patricia Welter

In Her Own Words
“I came to Pilates looking for a new fitness goal. After a couple of years of feeling unmotivated about exercise and dealing with physical discomfort that had kept me from the yoga classes I loved, I decided to try a local Pilates studio and start a new adventure. I noticed a difference almost immediately: better mobility, better flexibility, and relief in the places that had bothered me for years. I fell in love with how my body felt after every class.”
“Soon I was in group classes five and six days a week, and my spark for fitness returned. After each class I felt stronger, steadier, and clearer. I felt like myself again, and I kept going back for more.”
“Inspired by the knowledgeable instructors I was learning from, I began the Balanced Body Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor training program with my master educator and mentor, Patricia Welter, a 2nd Generation Pilates Teacher, Lolita San Miguel Pilates Master, Balanced Body Pilates Educator, and NCPT. I earned my Pilates Instructor Certification, and it is an honor and a privilege to be under the mentorship of Patricia.”
“Movement has been part of my life since childhood: ballet, dance, cheerleading, teaching aerobics classes in Miami, Florida as a young adult, and later weight training, playing tennis, long-distance running, yoga, and spinning. Along the way I found a second passion, psychology, and embarked on the journey to become a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in neuropsychology. My career has taken me through VA hospitals across the country, including Miami, Florida; Iron Mountain, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Eglin Air Force Base VA Clinic; and Navy Hospital Pensacola VA Clinic. Since 2021, I have also worked in my own private practice here in Pensacola, serving active-duty service members, veterans, and civilians. I have always believed in keeping the body and mind active and healthy, regardless of age or life circumstances.”
“ZEN Pilates brings those two halves of my life together. I understand, professionally and personally, how movement, motivation, and well-being are connected. My goal is for every client to leave each class balanced, stronger, and with a long-lasting feeling of ZEN.”
Why She Opened ZEN Pilates
After Pilates restored her enthusiasm for exercise, Tatiana wanted to create the kind of studio where clients could ask questions, learn the full method, and receive careful instruction from the beginning. ZEN Pilates combines small-group classes with a private apparatus room so there is both a comfortable entry point and room to advance.

How Tatiana Teaches
Tatiana explains the purpose of an exercise, observes the person in front of her and makes modifications as needed. Her clinical background influences her patience, observation, and understanding of learning and motivation. Her Pilates Comprehensive training provides the method and the movement tools.

Pilates and Psychological Care Are Separate Services
Tatiana’s clinical background informs her perspective as an instructor, but ZEN Pilates provides Pilates instruction only. Sessions are not psychotherapy, psychological assessment, physical therapy, or medical care.
